Marcus and David Yoder were born and raised in the Amish heartland of Arthur, Illinois. Growing up on a farm with a carpenter father, they naturally enjoyed building things that last. With their love of carpentry and great friendship as brothers, Marcus and David launched D&M Construction in 2016, and rebranded as I-57 Roofing in 2020.

At I-57 Roofing, our goal is to be the premium roofing service company in the state. We sit down with our customers and help them pick the best roofing solution for their needs, whether the traditional look of quality architectural asphalt shingles, energy-saving roof coatings that can restore and prolong the life of commercial and industrial roofing systems, or the incomparable durability of standing seam metal roofs fabricated on-site and customized to each roof.

Before Marcus and David Yoder pursued roofing professionally, they worked as carpenters under the faithful tutelage of their father, a long-time carpenter. Part of my roof came off in a storm during the winter and I spent months dealing with insurance and bad contractors until I finally wised up and called I-57 Roofing. Kevin was absolutely awesome from day one. He explained everything clearly and worked patiently with me through delays and more insurance issues. When the crew came to fix the roof, they showed up promptly, got right to work, finished up quickly, and left no mess. They’ll have my business from now on.

I am so impressed with I-57 Roofing! We have had quite the ordeal with our roof. Initial storm damage was in March and insurance drug their feet for months, but I-57 was so patient and continued to check in with not only us, but also our insurance adjusters to make sure we were taken care of. On one occasion, a spring storm blew away all of the temporary tarp work that had been done and Kevin came out by himself to re-tarp our roof before a weekend of big storms. The job itself was done within 4-5 hours and our property was left spotless. Will recommend this company to every home owner I know!

We bought a house that had a strange tar/gravel roof with a built up lip that was supposed to act as a gutter and dump to downspouts that passed through the soffits. Water poured right over the edge when it would rain. I-57 took all of that mess off the house and installed a beautiful standing seam metal roof with normal gutters. They also removed the wood shingle roof from our boat dock and installed the matching metal roof. They worked efficiently with teams doing tear down, cleanup, and installation. The process went smoothly and now we have a beautiful roof that will last longer than we will. Highly recommend I-57

At I-57 Roofing, it all started with two brothers, a green truck, a tarp, and a dream. We’ve come a long way since then. But we’ve never forgotten our roots. Raised on a farm by a father who loved carpentry, Marcus and David Yoder learned the value of hard work. The values instilled in them paved the way and forever shaped how they conduct business today.

From the outset, Marcus and David saw a need to bring an honest hard day’s work back to the table.
